Reliable Connectivity Isn’t Always About Convenience.
For some organizations, a dropped connection is more than an inconvenience. Here’s how we helped a remote camp keep critical data flowing.
When Your Connection Can’t Fail.
Having a reliable internet connection is necessary in almost any industry. For most organizations. an outage means stalled emails, a pause in online productivity, or a payment system that won’t load. For some, the stakes are much higher.
Organizations in remote locations or without in-house IT often struggle to get reliable service where they need it most. Many lack the skills or staff to research equipment, coordinate providers, and test coverage across an entire property. We build connectivity solutions around your specific site and needs, not a one-size-fits-all package.
How We Integrate Reliable Connectivity.
Camp Gilbert is a camp for kids with type 1 diabetes that takes place at a lake site with limited connectivity and no dedicated IT staff. Modern diabetes care depends on connectivity. Continuous glucose monitors (CGMs) stream data that insulin pumps use to make adjustments. The camp’s medical team monitors the data live to catch lows before they become emergencies, including overnight. For Camp Gilbert, a reliable connection isn’t a convenience. It’s a safety requirement.
With their need in mind, we coordinated a Starlink connection to bring dependable internet to the camp’s lake location. Then we mounted equipment and ran reliable wireless across the entire property, so the medical team could trust the data when it mattered most. We also optimized the performance of the camp’s medical-records system. Following implementation, we’ve stayed on to manage Camp Gilbert’s security and systems.
“Any organization that works with Dakota IT is in great hands. Josiah built a reliable connection across the whole property, got our medical-records system running smoothly, and explained all of it in language the rest of us could follow. Parents trust us with kids whose safety depends on real-time data. Dakota IT is part of how we keep that trust.”

The Value of Reliable Connectivity.
Connectivity isn’t just a concern for remote camps. Payment systems, cloud software, phone systems, security cameras, and remote work all depend on a stable connection. Coverage gaps often show up in places like warehouses, outdoor spaces, rural offices, and properties with multiple buildings.
